A warm welcome to players and parents old and new to what we hope will be a fantastic season for the U13's
At U13's we add 1 extra to the team playing so its 13 a side rugby. The pitch is now 3/4 of full-size pitch and we will be training / playing home matches from 12.30pm on Sunday mornings and on the floodlit Training Pitch 2 on Wednesday evenings from 6.00 pm to 7.30pm.
As a squad we promote the rugby values - Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline, Sportsmanship
We ask parents and supporters to adhere to the RFU Code of Conduct and positively support the players and coaches at both training and matches.
WE DO NEED MORE PLAYERS - so come along and try the sport out for a few weeks without any commitment to join, the coaches names and faces are on our site. Just ask at the club on a Sunday morning for the U13's and someone will direct you.
The website is the main communication channel for the club so we ask for all parents to please register to receive regular club updates.
We look forward to seeing you at the club
No League at U13, so Friendly and Waterfall festival.
The Laws are pretty much the same as the professional game with a few exceptions:
- 13 a side (no flankers)
- Rolling Subs are allowed
- Sin Bins are only 5 minutes
- The defending Scrum Half cannot move beyond the midpoint of the scrum until the ball is out
- There is no line out
- Games last 50 minutes
- Scrums can only be driven 1.5m
The coaching team is committed to Long Term Player Development. We will play to win but not at all costs. The player enjoyment and safety is more important.
Parents and supporters are asked to remember that the players are still only children, that the coaches and referees are volunteers and we are not trying to win the World Cup. Let's enjoy the sport.
We welcome new players at any stage of the season - there is no minimum standard or assessment - if you want to try Rugby then come along.
